I was born in 1842.

Fought in the Civil War ⚔️

But I didn’t want them to know that.

So I hid my age.
Scrubbed my résumé 🧽
Took off graduation dates 🎓
Cut anything older than 15 years ✂️

When I showed up on day one...
for my new staff assistant role —
they seemed…surprised 😳

“Oh wow,” they said.
“If only we’d known you were 183 years old…”

“We just hired a Civil War expert 🪖”
“They’re making 9x what you are 💸”
“Too late to change it now, though.”

So I nodded.
And got to work 🧾
