It lived on my desk like a boss 💼.

And it was a boss — because relationships are power ⚡.

They were then.
They are now.

Don’t know what a Rolodex is?
It was a spinning box 🔄 full of handwritten contacts ✍️.
Old-school LinkedIn 💼, with more ink and a lot more flipping.

Today, your Rolodex lives in your phone 📱.
In Gmail 📧.
In LinkedIn 🌐.

Still powerful. Still packed with possibility ✨.

Here’s where job seekers mess this up —

Before asking someone for help, we pre-reject them 🙅‍♂️.

We decide: “They probably don’t know anyone who can help.”

So we don’t ask.

And we lose 🎭.

Reality check 🔍:
You have no clue who other people know 🤷.
None.

People you see every day might be one intro away from your next job 🧩.
Your neighbor 🏡.
Your cousin’s college roommate 🎓.
Even your dentist 🦷.

Don’t guess what’s in someone else’s network 🌐.

Don’t assume their contacts — or their willingness to help 🙇.

Ask 🙋.

Let them decide who they know.
