Maintenance โ Momentum
Jun 02, 2025
Busy isn’t the goal.
Better is. ๐ง โก
There’s a trap that looks like active learning.
You’re showing up.
You’re putting in the work.
You’re doing the right thing.
And you’re not moving forward.
You’re maintaining.
๐ง Inbox zero
๐งน Cleaning the house
๐ Ticking off low-stakes to-dos
๐โ๏ธ Even working out — without pushing past your comfort zone
It feels productive.
And in a way, it is.
Maintenance keeps things running.
It doesn’t move you forward very much. ๐ข
Doing the thing can feel like you're improving.
And maybe you are. Slowly.
Running 10,000 spreadsheets? ๐งพ
Might sharpen your muscle memory.
Spending 30 minutes learning something new about Excel? ๐ก
That’s how you leap ahead.
The first is maintenance.
The second is mastery. ๐
Sometimes the hardest thing isn’t the grind.
It’s doing something unfamiliar.
Something that might not work.
Something that actually moves the needle. ๐ฏ
So here’s a Sunday gut-check:
Are you building?
Or maintaining what used to matter?
Big lives aren’t built on maintenance mode.
They’re built on motion. ๐
If you’re ready to shift from maintenance to momentum —
