Serve from Here

✈️ You’re on an airplane.

😨 The oxygen masks drop.

💭 Oh damn.

❓ What’s the one thing they always tell you to do?

😷 Put your own mask on before you help small children and others put their mask on.

🤔 The rationale? If you pass out, nobody’s getting their mask on.

💡 You’ve got to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.

💤 Because you can’t really help anybody if you’re unconscious.

🌟 I learned this from my coach  Carolyn Freyer-Jones, and I bet she learned it from somebody else: 

☕ Self-care and service is like a saucer and a cup.

💧 We always want to take such good care of ourselves that our cup is overflowing.

🌊 When it does, it overflows into the saucer.

🚫 We NEVER serve from the cup; we always serve from the saucer.

🫗 Because if the cup runs dry, then nobody is served.

🌸 Hope you take some time to make sure your cup is full and overflowing today.
