It’s the formula people use to answer behavioral interview questions:

Situation
Task
Action
Result

Sounds neat ๐Ÿงผ Too neat.

My issue? The “T” ๐Ÿงฉ

Why does there have to be a task?

Why assume someone had to assign it before you took action?

That’s not leadership — that’s compliance ๐Ÿ›‘

Real work is messy ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Real impact doesn’t come with instructions ๐Ÿ“ฆ

And often, there’s no “T” in sight ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธ‍โ™‚๏ธ

So skip STAR.
 
Go with SAR:

Action: I stepped up ๐Ÿš€
Result: here’s what changed ๐ŸŒ

No waiting for orders. No checklist. Just initiative โšก
