Capitalism.

I’m a fan.

Not perfect. Just better than all the other bad ideas we’ve tried.

Want to feed 8 billion people? 🍽️

Want smartphones, pencils, and you know… roads? 📱✏️

Yay, capitalism. 🎉

And here’s the trade-off:

In most cases, your boss can fire you whenever they feel like it. 💼💨

There are laws against firing someone for race, gender, religion, orientation, politics, or background. ⚖️

That’s the legal floor. Not always the reality.

And broadly? “Thanks for everything. Bye.” And they’re done. 👋

Cool system, right?

Here’s what people forget:

You can leave anytime you want.

That’s not a courtesy—it’s power. 🔥

I’ve had people quit on me. I’ve fired people I really cared about.

Not because I wanted to - because the business needed it.

100% No fun. Also 100% a condition of the  game. 🎲

You can quit after 30 years.

You can quit after 1 day.

You can accept an offer, change your mind, and walk. 🚪

You can decline any job. Anytime. No explanation required. ❌

You don’t owe a company more than what you’ve agreed to.

You’re not locked in. You’re not trapped. You’re not powerless. 🔓

These are the rules.
