Thoughful Words

“Have a happy Memorial Day.”
 
We’ve all said it.

It rolls off the tongue without friction.

Out of habit. Out of politeness.
Out of not thinking too hard about what the words mean.

And Memorial Day isn’t about being happy.

It’s about remembering 🪖
It’s about sacrifice 🎖️
It’s about those that didn’t come home

So maybe instead of “happy,”
we say something that actually fits:
Have a thoughtful Memorial Day.

Because words matter 💬
Even the casual ones.
Especially the ones we don’t think twice about.
